- INTRODUCTION:

- GRAFIX is a new easy to use Art Tutorial package from Silly Software. It

- art, sprites, and animation. Using a step by step manual and graphics
- designed by a professional artist you could soon be designing your own
- professional graphics and animation for your own programs.
-
- Over the years various art tutorial programs have followed the same method
- of teaching computer art. However, some people have found that this method
- has not helped. The reason being is that this method is found to be
- difficult. GRAFIX teaches using a new method, removing all the complications
- of learning art and teaches it - The Easy Way. This method shows you how to
- design graphics that look nice and are easy to create.
-
- GRAFIX also goes one step further than other art tutorial packages by
- including an animation feature. This teaches you how to design animated
- sprites, such as walking movements. The animation options show you how a
- sprite is animated and shows it actually animated.
-
- The main program has been designed for easy use. Its just a simple point and
- click affair. Simply choose a subject to learn by selecting the option on
- the main menu and a series of pictures take you step by step through it.
-
- In the full package of GRAFIX will be various options teaching all different
- methods of designing graphics as you can see from the main menu. Animation
- two will teach you how to animate the human walk, Animation four will teach
- you how to animate animals such as a horse, and Animation three will teach
- you how to animate a running character.
-
- The MISCEL option will show you how to define graphic blocks which can be
- put together to form platforms which could be used in a game, and other
- things such as windows and doors.
-
- We believe GRAFIX is the best art tutorial package ever released, you will

- HOW TO USE THE GRAFIX DEMO:
-
- For this demo we have disenabled some of the options. They are the
- ones shaded in red. All others can be used.
-
- GRAFIX is controlled entirely by the mouse. To choose an option simply move
- the mouse pointer so that the tip (bottom part) is over the option. Press
- the left mouse button and GRAFIX will load the option.
-
- On all the options there is a menu bar at the bottom of the screen. The MENU
- option will return you to the main menu. The left and right arrows will move
- backwards and forwards through the options tutorial pictures. To activate
- this options, simply move the mouse pointer over them and press the left
- mouse button. To the left of the menu bar is the present picture number.
- Each screen gives a short tutorial.
-
- The animation option is a little different as the PICTURE part of the menu
- bar is replaced by an Animate Button. When you come to the end picture of
- this option you will see a sprite in a dotted box. You can see this sprite
- animated by moving the mouse pointer over the ANIMATION button and pressing
- the left mouse button. The word OFF will change to ON and the head sprite
- will move from side to side. Click on Animation to turn it off.
-
- On some of the COLOUR screens the mouse pointer will turn into a magnifying
- glass. This allows you to look at part of the picture in greater detail.
- Simply move the glass over the part you wish to examine and the part will
- magnify itself into the empty box with the plug connected to it.
